Erika Sanborne generated a line graph overlaying the US annual autism prevalence data according to the US CDC with the average annual stock price of Home Depot stock according to the historical records of Macrotrends. These graphs across the past three decades (1992-2022) have a very similar shape. 🤔

Perhaps Home Depot causes autism. If we're going to get silly with our spurious correlations, then maybe we need to also take a closer look at Home Depot as the cause of autism in the US.

On each anniversary of my #autism #diagnosis I re-read my diagnostic report.
It’s deficit-based, I don’t agree with everything it says, and it reminds me of tragic events.
But it also confirms the scale of the challenges I faced and makes me an even more determined #AutisticResearcher and #activist.
