Index for a book series (Delphi Classics, if you really need to know) where each index entry is numbered. ("Series One, Series Two, etc.) Except the listing is by series number, sorted _alphabetically_. There are sixteen entries, and eight is first. One is eighth. Fifteen is third, etc. I can't with this.

Instead it takes maybe 5 times more steps and maybe times as long to make a list as it should take in a well designed list building system.
