Jason Schreier - BREAKING: PlayStation is shutting down Bluepoint Games, the studio responsible for modern remakes of classic games such as Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Colossus, Bloomberg News has learned. A shocking end for a well-respected studio.

Well, this is a punch to the gut! #ShadowoftheColossus is, of course, a phenomenal game and #Bluepoint did an equally phenomenal job of remaking it. Never played #DemonsSouls, but it looked incredible too. This is such a loss for #gaming.

A series of remasters and remakes developed my Bluepoint games including the God of War Collection, the Nathan Drake Collection, Shadow of the Collusus Remake and Demon's Souls Remake.

It annoys me when people just dismiss Bluepoint shutting down because "They only did Remasters" Fuck off.

First, I'd argue Demon's Souls and Shadow of the Collusus I'd argue are a bit more than standard remasters (and they were excellent as well).
