Heather M. Snyder, PhD (Co-Presenter) Dr. Snyder is senior vice president of Medical & Scientific Operations at the Alzheimer’s Association. She leads the Association’s strategic funding initiatives to accelerate promising studies on Alzheimer's and other dementias. Among other top priorities, her work encompasses: brain health and dementia prevention efforts; COVID’s impact on the brain; and sex and gender-based research about women’s vulnerability for dementia.

Abhay Moghekar, MD (Co-Presenter) Dr. Moghekar will discuss biomarkers for Alzheimer’s disease, including recent advances in blood biomarkers. He will discuss the context of use and pathway to approval for community use. Dr. Moghekar’s biomarker research focuses on establishing standards of use and the discovery of new cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers for the earliest phases of dementia. He also sees patients and has helped develop blood biomarkers that should be available for routine clinical use in 2025.
