I was scammed in 2020 and they hit me for $6000. —I’ve been paying this off for 6 years n I was down to $1500. Interest every month on something I was already ripped off for really burns me up. It burned me up every time they locked my account because I was behind on that interest. It burned me up every time I thought about how I was being hit for more money after being hit for a huge amount. Like I was being doubly punished and it was amplified every single month of my life. And even more than that because it came into play constantly. It trashed my credit record…today was the last straw. They actually shut down my checking account totally. For good. The only thing I need from them. They said it was because it was too overdue n they were protecting the credit union. N as we were talking, she’s calling me, sir and all in all, it’s not that much of an offense as I’ve never told them my pronouns. I’ve only told them my new name n insisted on it and they’ve tried to comply with that. But hearing that, sir sir repeatedly by this cold white woman on top of all this aggravation going on for six years I said What did u call me? And she said oh are there other pronouns you want n I paused and waited for a second thinking. Then she started giving me the old. “well I’m just giving you notice that—“ I interrupted ‘no, I’m giving u notice. I have been with u since u were a little shack in the poorest part of Eugene, Oregon. That was what? 2010? N u been bought up 3 times by big conglomerates n now you’re all cold n professional n u r fucking over poor people. I’m giving you notice that I’m done with your institution. She said no you can’t close it until you pay it off. I said that’s not going to happen. She said well we’ll send it to collections I said. I said OK. Well, here’s my notice to you that I’m done with your institution. Go ahead and send it to collections. Goodbye. What did I care about my credit record anyway at that point it’s already ruined.
