Our paper, "Constructing a Community of Play: Black Sims Players and Game Modding," is up now on the ACM DL and won an Honourable Mention Paper Award at #CHIPLAY2025!!

Excited about this upcoming #CHIPLAY2025 paper led by @nishadevasia.bsky.social on people’s meaningful experiences with games!
It's probably early to be posting for #CHIPLAY2025, but I'm excited about this paper! arxiv.org/pdf/2507.18084 tl;dr Players sometimes have very personally meaningful or eudaimonic gaming experiences and we investigated what kinds of effects people reported those experiences had on their lives.

If your work is an original but incomplete contribution you should consider the Works in Progress or Doctoral Consortium tracks depending on your student status. If you have a reflection or provocation on the field or industry consider the Perspective on Play track. If you have a hands on demo consider the Student Game Design Competition if the work was made entirely by students or the Interactivity track if it is more general. If you want to organize an event like a workshop, panel, or fireside chat consider the Connections track. If none of these apply then you are still welcome to join as an attendee.
