Speaking of chilli, I had to rescue a bunch of small ripe habaneros and aji umba(?) from the birds, so I removed the seed bundles and placentas to reduce the heat and sliced them up for last night's chicken pilaf. Was very tasty.

Hoooo boy. I mashed these and made them sauce-like and holy fuck. These peppers are HOT. I didn't wear gloves while washing up all the equipment and my hands were BURNING. I barely survived the taste-test. I thought fermenting them will mellow out the flavour?! 😂 #chilli #kitchenwitch #hotsauce
