What the #copimconference showed me is that dial has moved on both - how do we keep it turning? what action(s) can we each take to turn it a little bit more? Scaling small actions!

After a week in London at #R2RConf and #CopimConference my open research roadshow continues at a 'Scottish Research Integrity and Culture Week' event at @rcsed.bsky.social in Edinburgh where I'm on a panel to talk about 'expanding openness' for arts + humanities.

Now the dust is settling after the excitement of #CopimConference last week, I've finally got some time to explore the hashtag & discover some of the conversations & summaries that were happening alongside the panels - fascinating to see what struck people & how much online discussion there was!

Heading home after a really energising and thought-provoking couple of days at the @copim.bsky.social conference. Huge thanks to everyone involved for organising such an inspiring programme celebrating the valuable work done by both Copim and #OpenBookFutures 👏 #CopimConference
On the train home from #CopimConference - flush from meeting many of my colleagues (awesome) for the first time and lots of other rather smashing people besides! I think the future of open access and scholarly comms are in good hands, if this gathering is at all representative!
On the train back to Manchester reflecting on a fab #CopimConference - I received some very kind feedback about my paper and have made new connections as well as being able to connect with existing ones. So many enthusiastic & interesting people in the @copim.bsky.social community. Thank you all!

As a PhD student studying open access and then an OA librarian I have been v disillusioned with the whole project but the work produced by Copim over the last few years has really provided something to enage with again #CopimConference

Libraries need to get in the rooms where the decisions are made to grapple with this crisis and offer the open solutions that now exist thanks to @copim.bsky.social & Open Book Futures - step up; if not us, who? #CopimConference

I've been so blessed to spend these two days with the people I worked alongside for the better part of five years. It's so valuable to be in the same room as all these wonderful ambitious open publishing activists. #CopimConference

We now have more open infrastructures and open access publishers (born diamond OA) but we have a funding crisis in libraries (due to broader HE funding crisis) #CopimConference
