A platter on a Seagate 1.5TB disk drive that failed. There's a deep scoring around the centre of the platter and the disk heads appear to be missing. there's a ligh covering of very fine dust across the surface of the disk platter.

Perhaps this is why the Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB drive failed?
