Ancient forests took thousands of years to form.
One chainsaw decision destroys them in days.
That isn't "economic opportunity."
It's the willful, irreversible killing of a planetary lifeline.
Call it #Ecocide, because that's exactly what it is.
Demand accountability.
When we say "sustainable land use" while bulldozing millennia-old forests, we're lying to ourselves.
What we're actually doing: committing #Ecocide, the deliberate, massive destruction of ecosystems we know can't be replaced.
Words matter. Truth matters more. 🪓🌲
An ancient forest isn't just a collection of trees; it's a cathedral of biodiversity,a climate regulator, & a water cycle engineer.
Calling its destruction "development" ignores the truth: you cannot develop a cemetery.
You can only mourn it.
It's time to recognize #Ecocide.
We need to talk about the words we use.
"Clearing ancient forests" is not "land management."
"Destroying ecosystems" is not "economic development."
It's the permanent erasure of a unique, irreplaceable life-support system.
Let's call it what it is: #Ecocide.
