No matter how your day ends, know that you did your best with what you have. Breathe, let go and rest.

It's World AiArthritis Day! I hope you'll help me in celebrating by smashing that like button for awareness. What better timing than this to reveal WHY I moved to getting a power wheelchair. The Freedom to Move with Spondylitis The last time I wrote a print article for Spondylitis Association of America was in 2018, when I was test-driving a robotic exoskeleton called Keeogo. Fast forward to 2025, and I’m now cruising around in a Robooter X40 power wheelchair. A lot has changed in six years, and it feels like the perfect time to update the spondylitis community on the benefits of using a power wheelchair. For those of you struggling with mobility issues, I hope this article helps you make a decision sooner than I did. Many of you will likely be surprised to learn that my daily step count actually went up when I started using my power wheelchair regularly. Let me tell you how I made that decision—and how the rewards keep on coming. 🔗 https://spondylitis.org/patient-story/the-freedom-to-move-with-spondylitis-by-carrie-kellenberger #LaceUpForAxSpA #EverydayChallenges #AUTOArthritis #Spondylitis #ASAwarenessMonth #MySeveralWorlds #axSpA

Walk Your AS Off
#WorldASDay has just ended here in #Taiwan but I'll be loud about it all month long.
My example of #EverydayChallenges
My photos are within 24 hours. I use my power wheelchair most of the time now, but steps are still important when less swelling in my joints allows me to walk a bit.
On ice this weekend. I dared to bend my knees.
I'm AS Face #1649 and I got my first Spondyloarthritis diagnosis in 2009 after waiting 10 years for it.
Last night I tried to get in an Uber for the first time in years on the driver's side of the car. I couldn't do it. My leg simply doesn't bend the way it needs to in order to sit on that side. So I guess that's that. More loss of mobility every year. #axSpA #PsoriaticArthritis #EverydayChallenges
I pride myself on my spatial skills—mentally rotating objects and visualizing spaces with ease. My boyfriend, on the other hand, still struggles to fit Tupperware lids correctly. Guess we all have our strengths! #SpatialCognition #Neuroscience #EverydayChallenges
