I’ve been in social media since age 12 or 13, when I got social media radio for Christmas and had unrestricted access to talk with adults (strangers) day or night. I was creating original social media BBS sites and software, selling it commercially by age 15 in 1984. I predicted the Arab Spring from Austin Texas on December 16, 2009 and traveled to North Africa (Algeria) on December 3, 2010 before it became a “hot revolution” on December 17, 2010. In March 2011, I moved from Algeria to Amman Jordan to study the outbreak of Syria war from Internet perspective – in the spirit of “The Gulf War Did Not Take Place’ media ecology by Frenchman Jean Baudrillard
