I’m the kill-first-ask-questions-later kind of guy people fear, but there’s something about this girl.' -- Cillian O’Ridian I love the push and pull between them. For Cillian, the internal battle is even more entertaining at times. For a smart guy, he's not all that bright when it comes to matters of the heart. I also like that his friends tease and rile him up about her. Liam is crazy possessive. I sometimes like it, sometimes don't. He does make some missteps, but his correction tactics are on point. 🌶🥵 I do think there is a missed opportunity with the events surrounding Erin. I hate that her ex is such a douche. I also hate that she hides his crazy from pretty much everyone. That said, I do like that she doesn't want to create drama and reaches out to James with a plan to try to discourage Darrell's attention. It works until it doesn't. The one thing that I am really disappointed with is James's actions after an incident towards the end. It is beyond childish at a time when he's supposed to be proving that he's deserving of the accolades and that he's the better guy. Instead, he proves the opposite. This undoubtedly impacted my rating. I listened to the audio book. The narrators are Olu Sade and Kyle Adams. I believe this is my first time listening to both voice actors. Tristian Franklin and Serena Moore's over-the-top episode is not my favorite from Frankie, but it's entertaining. The visit from Tristian's past didn't really fit the vibe of the story. If this were longer and more depth could've been given to it, it might have worked, but I felt it unnecessary in this setting. It was nice to get updates on the prior couples in the series. That and the romps in nature are definitely the best parts. 😉 I read along with the audio book. The narrators are Avie Page and Patrick DuBois. They both do a good job. 🎧💚🎧 Story: 3 stars Narration: 3.5 stars Listening Speed: 1.8x H = 20s?; h = 19
