I also learned that I shouldn’t open the loader unless I am absolutely sure it is empty. I wasted probably four rolls of film because I assumed the loader was empty when it wasn’t, so I opened it, exposing the remaining film. My bad.

I learned from this not to trust the counter on the film loader. It told me I was loading 36 exposure rolls. I got 18 exposures off the first roll I shot. It was very short. Next time, I will assume that I need to half whatever is on the counter.
