A) are underwater on favorables with women
B) do not have an endorsement from one of the five north side progressive Alders.

If everyone in #IL09 would stop voting strategically and vote for their 1st choice, Mike Simmons could win. I voted for Mike because he’s a progressive with a proven track record of passing legislation and standing up for his constituents. Plus he takes public trans! Can’t fix what you don’t know.

It should be noted that of the three progressive candidates, Bushra Amiwala and Mike Simmons had much higher favorables in independent polling that was released before “The Woke Ginger” had his major impact.

Pretty obvious that AIPAC sees Biss at the candidate they need to beat. They’ve done multiple mailers on him and pushing Bushra in the suburbs cuts into his prog’s more than others.
It’s ok though, just check off the 33 spot and put progressive legislator Mike Simmons into office. #il09

I’m nowhere near #IL09. I’ve never lived in Chicago. The winner will not be my representative. But because the winner will be a high-ranking member of my party, the outcome does matter to me. If I had any say at all, I’d back @katmabu.bsky.social, who constantly puts herself on the line for us all.

Kat implies here that AIPAC has “abandoned their own candidate” and is now backing Biss in #IL09
My read on this is because attack ads on Biss have stopped, but I think it’s important to remember the group called both Biss and Abughazaleh “dangerous detractors working with the far left”

In fact, people I’ve spoken with who know Bushra well have told me they felt she probably would’ve endorsed someone else, if anyone
