Alchemised SenLinYu Audiobook cover of a brown darker overgrown castle with an iron gate open and yellow lights on inside and a figure in a red cloak standing just inside the entrance I generally enjoyed it through part one, big adjustment for part 2 but then settled in, and then part 3 felt the most disjointed like borderline an epilogue that didn’t didn’t add too much to the story or development. By the midpoint I started thinking that it should’ve either been split into two books or have a solid third of it cut, especially because several scenes were near-repeats. Bummed because it had a lot that worked, but was either too complex (more info needed about the alchemy system and terms without external research) or not flushed out enough.
