In Sonic The Hedgehog IDW Comics 2024 Annual, Surge The Tenrec is her partner Kitsunami, aka Kit The Fennec, that she's been thinking about something that he wouldn't like. Kit tells her that he would like it anyway because it's her. Surge tells him that their creator, Dr. Starline was right. This shocks Kit, and he asks in what regard.
