I quite liked Eds main conference speech, not one of his best. Two big pushes, UK built nuclear deterant, very good but very niche policy which I dont think most people will feel is that relevant. The second was a written constitution, new Magna Carta. Would have liked some more detail.

#LibDems have an answer to this problem. Carefully regulate #SocialMedia for under 18s rather than ban it.

This includes:
- Age rating of apps & content (like for films)
- Safety-by-design
- Platform accountability

Nice to hear @eddavey.libdems.org.uk push for #renewables to be at the heart of a #LibDem plan for #growth:
- cheaper bills
- stop dependency on authoritarian fossil fuel regimes

Spent the day running around York for Lib Dem Spring Conference #LDConf

I contributed a very small (but non-zero!) amount to a motion to strengthen support for students and universities and am pleased that we voted overwhelmingly in favour of it.

The first day of #LDConf is nearly over. Hopefully you'll all survive @amcarmichaelmp.bsky.social's whisky tasting and the Glee Club, and we'll see you in the morning :)
