A toot that reads, I have lecture in an hour for intro creative writing which I reluctantly signed up for. That pains me to even say or write because it used to be one of my favorites to teach. I’ve noticed something over the years — my Intro to Creative Writing has become more challenging than my other colleagues. I’ve been told, “Del, water it down. They’re there to get an English credit, not become the next Hemingway.” Jokes on them, if you want to become the next Hemingway you’ll get a C+ from me.
