Nouveau drivers are fine on my external monitor--and only the external monitor. Laptop screen is unrecognized, no matter what xrandr commands Google tells me to try.

Alright, it's been over a week on the same problem. Installing #LinuxMint (had the same problem with my #Arch distros) on my old Sony Vaio. Live version works great. Installed, the drivers are all screwed. Have tried to switch from nouveau to Nvidia, and they both suck in opposite ways. #LinuxHelp
I'm dumping windows off my other drive once I figure out where tf the Sims 4 mod folder is in Linux (Mint 22.3 or whatever the latest version is). I've looked through reddit and still can't find an answer. Anyone?

Had some free time last night so I attempted to set up my dual-boot Bazzite (Nvidia/KDE) twice. Both attempts failed with fatal ostree errors during installation.

I need help does anyone know anything about linux? I have a black screen with a white cursor. I tried to fix the lat and lon on QRedshift and it froze my system. I bruteforce shut my pc down now when I log in it's a black screen with a white cursor.

Likely the hard drive is just at its end of life (and has been for a couple years.) Or it could be that Windows Defender takes a long time to scan everything, (because the hard drive is end of life,) everytime I start it up, which is once every year or so.
