Rotationary by Dave Chalker is a nice light puzzle for a lazy afternoon. The goal, to rotate the pieces to point in the same direction. Each piece affects the the one it points to according to its pip value.

The theme for this week has been dexterity 👍😁👍 and Venusian Bowling by Jason Brannen has been my favorite so far. It’s more akin to darts than anything. A lobbing sort of darts.

Atom Smasher by David Artman is a dexterity game similar to marbles. The goal is to flick the opaque small, in this case green cuz Hulk smash!Hulk destroy!, into a tight group of pyramids to separate them. Freed mids are then collected for scoring. Fun stuff 👍😁👍

Drip, cleverly created by Tyler Tinsley, may be going the way of the dinosaur as it requires a Treehouse tube. All the same this is an enjoyable little game that takes minutes to play. Players fill the tube with pyramids trying not to be the last to drop 💧

This last design is called Alien Invasion 👾 The most complicated made of 7 colors. It took well over 75 moves to complete 😅 but I did finish it 👍😁👍

The next Magma design I came up with is titled Wolf Moon. Mayhap I should have used grey instead of orange to represent the wolf but I have been told that orange is the color of change so I think it’s appropriate this time of year 😊

Lightweight and perfectly portable Joseph Kisenwether’s Synapse-Ice is another game easy to remember. Like many pyramid games this is an adaptation of another game and uses a unique mechanic of directional placement that I’m calling pip to point. Check it out!👇😁👍

Bag of Ice by J.D. Top is a super simple push your luck game of rolling the pyramid die and pulling pyramids.

We decided to speed things up in this game and removed the pyramid die. That definitely made the game a bit more exciting for us 👍😁👍

IceSickle by Dan Isaac is one of those quintessential pyramid games. All you need is 5 trios and a 5x5 board. First, seed pyramids by placing them anywhere on the board. Then sow by jumping a pieces pips worth over other pieces to capture. Such elegance 👍😁👍

Amoeba by Eric Oosterwal is a very nice territorial connection game. Big points to be had with proper foresight and alignment. But despite the huge point gaps at times it plays relatively tight in the end 😁👍 This one was won by 1 point.
