Is that snow on the fields of Åland? Not at all, “the snow” is due the gypsum treatment demonstrated by GYPREG project. The project aim is to reduce phosphorus loss from agriculture and the nutrient load to the Baltic Sea.

Utsläpp sker vid utvinning, raffinering och tillverkning av plast, samt vid transport och avfallshantering. När plastavfall bränns släpps ännu fler växthusgaser och giftiga föroreningar ut. Även återvinning och andra metoder för avfallshantering orsakar utsläpp. ♻️❌Plast i haven förvärrar också klimatkrisen. Haven, inklusive Östersjön, spelar en avgörande roll i att reglera jordens klimat genom att fungera som en viktig kolsänka – de absorberar ungefär 25 % av den koldioxid som släpps ut av mänskliga aktiviteter. 💧 Men plastens närvaro stör denna livsviktiga funktion. Hur exakt? Svep genom bildkarusellen.Det är viktigt att inse att inte bara plastföroreningar bidrar till klimatförändringar – klimatförändringarna förvärrar också plastkrisen. 🔄 Högre temperaturer påskyndar nedbrytningen av plast till mikroplaster, vilket ökar mängden i miljön. ☀️ Extrema väderförhållanden gör att människor i större utsträckning använder engångsplast, vilket förvärrar situationen.
