I'm happy to report a positive lesson on percentage using the Percentages Grid tool!

Having the digital tool at hand really made it straightforward to synthesise examples when reteaching was needed, and easily show equivalence between percentages and twentieths/tenths/more. #mathsteaching #FDP

Advice sought:

I am about to teach Year 11 Foundation area, perimeter, volume, surface area of 2D/3D shapes. In theory, they have done all this before but every time they are asked to calculate the area of a triangle it is like seeing it again for the first time.
