A MORNING I'm hydrating the sleep from my eyes while the storm outside brews a question and a possible answer. I've left the grief lying in my bed. She's still dreaming of a bonny birth that will fix everything even if it eradicates us. My catharsis is a metaphor writ on tea leaf skin with a needle that shivers in a stoic hand. Palliatives are a modest art. I've heard people say that we all create a masterpiece sometime. I'm finding it not in my ink but in my experiences and everything with which I move.
My original intent with this one was to write something cozy but it turned into something much deeper.
