I am really excited to be a part of this team. We took our time writing this, putting a lot of thought into how our journeys as #NativesInSTEM were affected by different aspects of Universities and looking for commonalities across the world. I hope folks in academia appreciate this work.

If I could do it all over again (& this is info for the next gen of #NativesInSTEM), I would have been strategic about my breaks from work/school and returned home at various times in the year. I would have prioritized harvesting over conferences, even though that would have hurt my sci career.

I’m no longer an assistant to the professor. It’s been a long journey to associate professor.

I now join the 0.4% of tenured Native American/Alaska Native (AI/AN) faculty!

Hardest email to send out as our funds for our CARE spring/summer high school program were terminated today with the new administration. We enrolled new participants & were looking forwards for more this summer. Science & DEI efforts are important & needed to diversify our workforce. #NativesInSTEM
