In Which the Pirate Measures and Drafts. Welp, the electronic knitting machine (KH940) is still producing a nonstop beep despite the new battery, so it’s coming off the work table for further inspection and hopefully repair. Meanwhi…

Battery replacement didn't stop the machine from beeping, but it can't stop me from planning ahead - I tried something new and drafted a sweater pattern based on a fleece that fits me perfectly. I hope this works out!

Place a ruler so that its line runs through the center of the shoulder seam and then pivot it until it just touches the armscye. Where it touches, indicated by the awl pointing to the ruler, is the pivot point of the sleeve.

A tip from #PatternDrafting world: this is the fastest and most accurate way to find the pivot (notch) point on an armscye. Details in the alt text.
