I am not a fan of Yorgos Lanthimos' films. On the contrary in fact. But #PoorThings isn't his weirdest movie either. So thanks to Emma Stone and the film's Jean-Pierre Jeunet-esque aesthetics it did work a bit for me. Not enough that I'd say that I would've genuinely liked it as a whole though. 📽️🎞️
I rewatched #PoorThings for the first time since January 2024, and it is far better than I remembered it being.
Ruffalo should have dialled it down, admittedly, but the rest of the cast are stellar.
