*And if not Criterion/Janus, how about Shout! Studios/Shout! Factory, Kino Lorber, VCI/MVD, Arrow, Indicator, Vinegar Syndrome or ClassicFlix to license from Shields/release the classic 1930s/40s " #PopularScience" and/or " #UnusualOccupations" theatrical shorts on Blu-Ray and/or DVD? #PhysicalMedia
"Now on the Screen! 'Popular Science..' Alive, Colorful, Exciting.. Produced in Cinecolor by (Robert) Carlisle & (Jerry) Fairbanks with the co-operation of Popular Science Monthly. Late 1930s advertisement published in "Popular Science." "Popular Science" Historic Short Subject Series: Shields Pictures, Inc.
1948 Opening title card for Jerry Fairbanks' "Unusual Occupations" short subject series. Sidebar: The custom "print variant" of that now-disgraced "mountain with stars" film studio has been omitted. "Unusual Occupations" Historic Short Subject Series: Shields Pictures, Inc.
Short subjects that deserve to be released on Blu-Ray and/or DVD in the future:
Carlisle & Fairbanks' " #PopularScience" & " #UnusualOccupations."
Many of the shorts haven't been seen since they last aired on the old AMC network in the mid-to-late 1990s.
How about it, Criterion*? #PhysicalMedia

I’ve been reading a popular science monthly magazine DELTA. It has been run since 1974 by University of Warsaw. Delta traditionally covers maths, physics and astronomy. It is in Polish, but OA and getting it translated shouldn’t be a problem;-)
