2/5 I considered making a #PortableApps friendly collection of my favorite #FOSS programs for #Windows. However, Windows doesn't seem to be an ideal target. Newer versions don't support older computers well. It would require users to already own a non-Free OS just to run #FreeSoftware.

How hard would it be to develop a #LinuxDistro in say Belarus totally focused on efficient curated #bittorrent streams that also acted as a kind of #PortableApps for games? Kind of like upgrading #MAME.

Steam spoofing could be an add on for those willing to subscribe paying a bit to the creators.

If anyone wants to test it, I have finally got an alpha level (may open a black hole into another reality) #AppImage menu that is similar to Windows #PortableApps menu. This menu is for #Linux and has been tested on #Debian 12. Be sure to read the readme file.

If the base path of the #portableapps directory has more than 44 Characters #libreoffice portable crashes right when starting. (protableapp suite 30.1.2, libre office portable 25.2.3.2 Win 11)

If you ask yourself why somebody uses such long paths .... Because I can!

Love #PortableApps on USB drives, but hate having to download all the apps separately.

Does anyone remember #PortableApps? Almost literally a swiss army knife, when you plugged in THAT USB stick.
