Twee kleurrijke schilderijen in het museum van de onlangs overleden kunstschilder Ton Schulten. In combinatie van gekleurde vlakken in heldere kleuren worden twee landschappen weergegeven waarbij de linker- en rechterzijkant van beide schilderijen in een verticale strook de kleuren worden gedempt in een donkerblauwe tint alsof de kijker door een luik naar buiten kijkt. De bomen in beide schilderijen zijn schematisch weergegeven en het verloop in kleurkracht van de vlakken zijn van donker tot boven licht zodat een diepte en perspectief wordt gesymboliseerd.

Zijn eigen signatuur, materiaalgebruik, kleurgevoel en vormentaal naast zijn liefde voor 't Twentse landschap | His own signature style, use of materials, sense of colour and design language, alongside his love for the Twente landscape.

Kleurrijk schilderij van de onlangs overleden schilder Ton Schulten waarbij een gebouw of dorp is opgebouwd uit lichte oranje en rode kleurvlakken en/of blokken in verschillende tinten terwijl links en rechts van het gebouw donkere vlakken staan alsof je door een raam kijkt. Ook de donkere bodem bestaat uit blauwe vlakken met verschillende tinten. De lucht boven het lichtgevende dorp of gebouw is ook blauw en helderder van kleur. Het dorp of gebouw trekt alle aandacht door het contrast van licht en warme kleuren alsof de zon daarop schijnt. De schilderstijl is primitief van deze autodidacte schilder.

Dat het linker- ﹠ rechtergedeelte in zijn schilderijen donkerder worden weergegeven is typerend voor deze schilder | The fact that the left and right sides of his paintings are depicted in darker colours is typical of this painter.
