I wasn't sure what I was in the mood to sew once I made it to my sewing room. I made hearts from my jelly roll scraps, but then felt in the mood to do a fussy paper piece pattern that I impulse bought after christmas. It turned out OK, but I forgot to switch to Black thread.

Today was extremely busy, but I had about 45 minutes, so I made a couple book blocks before heading to my second job. I bought some FPP patterns today on a whim. I cannot wait to make them for display in the quilt shop I work at. I'll maybe have time to start on them next week.

Hello #quiltsky. Spent the day at a Sewing Bee to make 70 lap fidget quilts for Nanaimo ER department to distribute to dementia patients that arrive in the ER. We finished 30 today and have another day booked next week. These have lap belts with Velcro to attach to wheelchairs.

The #HideousQuilt. The pattern is fun to make—it’s called the #LemonPepper.

Ok #Quiltsky, have you ever taken your ugliest fabric and made a hideous quilt? Thank goodness my niece likes ugly. I’m sad I’m going to have to pay to have it quilted. 😂 I’m glad it will be out of my house forever! 🤣 It’s less pink in real life.

I’ve finished the top for my granddaughter’s quilt/wall hanging. It needs a better pressing but I’m out of energy today. It’s the first quilt I’ve finished since my husband died 6 years ago and probably even earlier than that. Aging doesn’t make the process easier!!
