10m ago Two people investigated over the so-called "Robodebt" scheme by the national anti-corruption body have been found to have engaged in serious corrupt conduct, with four others including former prime minister Scott Morrison cleared. However, the pair will not face Commonwealth charges, with the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) saying it was "not appropriate" to refer them to the Director of Public Prosecutions. The NACC found Mark Withnell intentionally misled officers of the Department of Social Services during the preparation of a cabinet submission in 2015. It also concluded Serena Wilson intentionally misled the Commonwealth Ombudsman during an investigation in 2017. The commission cleared four other individuals of corrupt conduct, including Mr Morrison.
