A reflective, monochrome photograph of a steel retaining wall or sheet pile wall, whose massive vertical segments, with their bolts and fasteners, dominate the lower part of the image. Above them, railings and posts stretch across the image in undulating, distorted lines, as if the scene were dissolving into moving water. Light and dark surfaces merge into an almost abstract composition of reflection, industrial form, and rhythmic structure. The photograph appears cool, still, and at the same time slightly detached—like an urban waterscape caught between technical harshness and fleeting perception.
