They noted how there were so many things they'd taken for granted about research I'd just upended. And they were particularly interested in the #ResearcherSafety issue. Which delighted me. /5

It needs particular consideration when the researcher has chosen their topic because of their own lived experience in the topic area. The brief therapeutic input students services offer PhD students is not adequate #TraumaSensitiveResearch #AcademcSky #PhDSky #ResearcherSafety

This is very true. And, although a small number of us have flagged this for the past 25+ years it's still not standard across degree programmes or research jobs. When it is, it's confined to 'sensitive topics' and often conceptualised as brief counselling. #ResearcherSafety is a cinderella subject.
