Sub-29 minutes for this morning's Lister Park, #Bradford #ParkRun. Quite pleased with this improvement over the last month. #ReturnToRunning

Garmin map of my Nordic walking route in Northcliffe and Heaton Woods. 10.75km.
Night time shot of oak trees silhouetted against a purplish night sky. A wooden cone/megaphone sculpture, illuminated by head-torch in the foreground.
Sore knees after Saturday's hard surface #ParkRun so an hour's Nordic walk/trot caper round my local @fonorthcliffe.bsky.social and Heaton woods at 10km/hr average pace. I paused by the mighty sound horn sculpture, observed by foxes. #ReturnToRunning
First #ParkRun for a while. Just under 30 minutes for the 5km course. A good benchmark for my #ReturnToRunning. We've a fantastic venue for it in Lister Park, #Bradford.
Dispensed with the poles for tonight's #ReturnToRunning caper. Under 30 mins for a flat 5km encourages me to think there might be a runner in there somewhere. 🙂

Blow me down if I didn't break into a sort of shambling trot and less than 45 minutes later find I'd covered 5km. #CouchTo5k in your face!
Tonight's #ReturnToRunning skiddadling caper has taken me into my local woods by cold, crunchy steps and orange moonlight. I decided a sort of shambling Nordic run/walk (with poles) was in the best interests of injury avoidance at this stage of the proceedings.
Returning to running after a long break? 🏃♂️🏃♀️

Today will mostly be about taking time. Ran my planned ‘race’ yesterday, bang on the money as far as pacing went with what I wanted. Enjoyed it immensely, although tired afterwards. DOMS kicking in now, after a night of muscle spasms and cramps. I’m definitely a goal motivated runner, so I need […]
