Male seahorses give birth.
Male #seahorses have a pouch on the ventral, or front-facing, side of its tail. When mating, the female seahorse deposits up to 1,500 eggs in the male seahorse’s pouch. For the next 9-45 days, the male carries the eggs until they baby seahorses emerge.
