This is a macro nature photo I took of blueberries blooming. A green stem angles in from the upper-right corner and places the blossoms at the mid-left side. There's a cluster of five pink buds in the center and three white bell-shaped blooms surrounding them. In the blue-green background, the bokeh holds another cluster of bright pink buds to the upper-left. Winter heals many wounds. Some of us think of hibernation as a hindrance, a stifling of progress, or a forced rest. But what happens when we take the time our bodies need to recover? We heal. For those of us with chronic illness, which is not an injury but a state we navigate daily, healing becomes a circle, not a line with a beginning and an end. We all carry these bruises, whether visible or internal, and it's important to acknowledge that we're each doing our best. I wish you all deep healing and comfort. This thought inspired my latest senryu: crush of black and blueberries the bruises we heal
