🔬 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲!
The humble compound microscope gave way to the #electronmicroscope (1930s), then the #confocalmicroscope (1950s) with which we could obtain high resolution images.
🧪360 years later we are tracking #singlemolecules and can even create 3D images of samples based on “feel”🤯
#HighThroughput #SMLM images allow scientists to gain comprehensive information on #SingleMolecules in their samples, including monitoring rare cellular or molecular events.
