These eps are very good listens. Thankfully the essence of the original text hasn't been homogenised into slop like say #TheWeirdCircle did.

This ep the publicity seeking star is English actor Charles Laughton in an adaptation of C.S. Forester's Novel "Payment Deferred" (1926).
He had actually already starred in both the play adaptation (1931) and the film adaptation (07-Nov-32) of the novel!

The great thing about Radio is that chat shows and celebs being themselves wasn't properly invented till TV did so in the early 1950s. So actors to promote their new movies used to have to appear in an actual Radio drama as their publicity!

Adapts US playwright George M. Cohan's play of the same name (12-Sep-27) which was immediately made into a movie (27-Sep-28).
This was a great hour of comedy drama. Some big radio names here too.

#StudioOne Radio ep #8 doesn't exist so onto Radio ep #9 "The Romantic Comedians" (24-Jun-47).
Adapts Ellen Gholson Glasgow's novel (1926).
This novel seems to have been neglected in modern times. I'm unsure why but the radio ep is again quite a strong engaging comedy.

Adaptation of Stephen Crane's novel (03-Oct-1885).
I haven't heard of any of these books for the most part but these Radio eps are pretty strong and hopefully are good compliments to the source material.

ということで、StudioPro8をインストールしました。
見た目は特に代わり映えもないので新たな感動はない（それはこれからか）。一番不安だった、最近何かと話題のNI製キーボードもちゃんと反応。でも、7.2の時にインストールしてるPresonus製のプラグインのデータを読み込まないのよね。なんで？ドキュメントには残ってるんですが・・・またインストールするの？もうすでにメンドクサイ。

明日は仕事なので、とりあえずStudioOneを無料のうちにアップグレードしようと思います。最初に使い始めたのは初音ミクV3に付属していた2。それまでの打込はハードがメイン。もう12年も前なのか・・・。

Adapts Noel Coward's play (1924) but it has been transplanted to Long Island or maybe New England somewhere instead of England but I expect little else has been changed.
Nice fun adaptation of a very amusing play.

The daughter was played by Gloria Stroock. She died last year age 99 just a few weeks shy of 100. I'll be seeing her again in a TV ep of #StudioOne on that walkthrough.
Treva Frazee: I'll see her twice on #StudioOne too. She died age 94 in 2017.

Adapts the satirical novel by Sinclair Lewis (14-Mar-29) which savages middle America's obsession with Britshit and upper class western Euro culture.
Still relevant.

Set in 1910's with the Chicago Cubs. More famously in between was the Hollywood film of 1935 pictured.

Adapts the play by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen (1882). This is what I was hoping for after two ok productions. Pretty strong entry by this show. Definitely would make me seek out the play today.

Adapts the French comedy play by Marcel Pagnol (09-Oct-28). This is far better than the first ep. There have been 11 movie adaptations of that play since 1928 but I don't know about radio adaptations bar this one!

I'm sure the novel is a classic but the ep isn't. The drama is slow and the emotional centre not really present. The soundscape isn't doing much to aid proceedings.
Saying that this is clearly a noble venture. Not old classics being dusted off but new modern novels.

I think (unsure!) this was recorded in CBS Radio Studio 1 which was CBS's original radio studio located the 22nd floor of 485 Madison Avenue, NY?
Transmitter used? Not the Chrysler Building which only transmitted TV. But as this show went nationally it doesn't matter.

仕事終わりの真夜中。
長年使用しているStudi OneがついにFenderブランドになって名称も変更・・・。なんか、どっか引っ掛かるんですけど・・・。いや、Fenderも好きですし、機能も素晴らしいとは思うのですが、何てゆうか、名前が変わるのは寂しいなと。一応、7pro導入1年未満なので無償upグレード対象みたいなんですけど、もう少し7proで引っ張ります。
