Yun Ga Min just wants to study. Gathering the study group members was fun, but it was kinda boring after that. Pi Han Ul was bland for the final boss villain. Solid mix of action and comedy. Strong webtoon vibes. The over-the-top fights were a bit too much for my liking. 8/10.

Hong Min-gi in To My Beloved Thief looks like he will have his servants hurt you.

I’ve only seen #HongMinGi in two kdramas: #StudyGroup and #ToMyBelovedThief. In both he plays a grumpy, frowning tough guy threatening violence. He does have the strong jaw and the dark eyebrows of an anime villain. But he also has an adorable lisp. I’d like to see him play a cute comedy part next.

For sure, #StudyGroup does have dark moments - I just meant it isn’t gritty & serious all the way through like #WeakHero is (though there is a little bit of humour in the latter show too)

I didn’t mean to say that #WeakHero isn’t a good drama - it’s an excellent drama! - I only meant to say that compared to #StudyGroup it’s a more serious drama

#studygroup ended and I wanted more. This action packed comedy was great! #hwangminhyun was adorable being the dim witted martial art master. I’d love to see more of his uncle’s forbidden techniques. Also, I wanted to see him reach his dream. For this genre, 5 stars. 10 episodes.

#WeakHero is a serious drama all the way through, & the fighting is gritty & brooding

Whereas #StudyGroup is mostly a comedy, & the fighting is pretty unrealistic - even though it has some dark moments

I am finally watching #studygroup on Viki and it’s fun. I hope it doesn’t get too serious.

I watched #StudyGroup over the Christmas break and it’s essentially Kung-Fu Hustle at school but even better than that sounds. Just the most ridiculously entertaining show throughout. I think I’d die for Yoon Ga-min? #HwangMinhyun for president 🫡
