In a bowl of water with parsley, sage and rosemary is a single Abraham Darby rose. So many petals and a lovely color of mixed pink tinged with gold on this David Austin rose. It’s a standout in every bouquet. The perfume of the rose wafts generously through the string just cut herb fragrances which is unusual and a bit of fun I think. I love the contrast of the rose on the counter next to a large roasting pan.

Turkey brine simmering away. When cool, it will be strained and then placed in a 5 gallon bucket with the turkey and ice for 24 hours. Oops looks like I forgot one of the barcode stickers on the orange. Good thing it's basically edible, although I did remove it and the brine is still simmering away, LOL no germs shall invade my turkey
Scratch made ham glaze simmering/ reducing. It will be strained and put through blender before used on the baking ham
Giblet turkey stock simmering/ concentrating in preparation for turkey, gravy, and stuffing. It too will be strained before use
My house smells like citrus and sage.....
