A blue vertical bar on the left reads "ADA FACTS" in white text. The main section shows the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center logo. Text reads: Under ADA Title II, state and local agencies hosting holiday parades, concerts, tree-lightings, or community celebrations must ensure effective communication — which may include captioning, ASL interpreters, assistive listening devices, or accessible digital materials. A small red bar at the bottom reads TITLE II.

It's also remarkable & enlightening to see Brendan's statement insisting that *Biden* voted for #TitleII when it was the independent agency formerly known as the FCC.
Shows you how far along Brendan is on the Project 2025 plan to make independent agencies subservient to President Musk I mean Trump.
Here's our statement on the bad result in the Sixth Circuit.
#TitleII #NetNeutrality
Restraint . . . tested. It’s utterly ridiculous. Shocking news: internet speeds increase over time as technology evolves. Ipso facto: regulation bad! (Pay no attention to the fact that speeds increased with #TitleII in place too.) #subcommtech #FCCoversight
Watch my restraint today, as I *don’t* give in to the temptation to debunk the same, tired Republican talking points on #TitleII and #NetNeutrality and broadband investment for like literally the hundredth time. #subcommtech #FCCoversight

But even more remarkably, Thune again slams #TitleII for being from the 1930s when just last year in that very same seat he praised "timeless" universal service principles enshrined in law in (wait for it) . . . the 1930s. It's almost like we shouldn't judge our laws and our principles by their age.
Sadly but predictably, Senator Thune repeats Cruz's lies about #TitleII and investment, without even bothering to reference the phony numbers Cruz tossed out. #NetNeutrality
ISPs spend less today, yet get better performance, because guess what? Technology evolves. It improves and gets more efficient. This is what ISPs actually tell their investors, because it's true. Here's the latest @freepress.bsky.social compendium. #TitleII www.freepress.net/sites/defaul...
Only an out of touch Washington bureaucrat like ivory tower Ted Cruz would sit on a dais like this and lecture American businesses that they should be spending more every year, whether they need to or not. What business runs like that? No successful one. #SenateCommerce #DontDisconnectUs #TitleII
Senator Cruz takes the opportunity of a hearing on broadband affordability in #SenateCommerce to tell the same old lies about #TitleII & #NetNeutrality, claiming investment fell in 2015. All of the numbers show the opposite, and ISPs never tell their investors that the rules impact their spending.
Here’s the @freepress.bsky.social statement from @notaaroncraig.bsky.social on today’s historic #TitleII restoration and #NetNeutrality vote.

Rosenworcel counters Carr's fact-free claim that the FCC can somehow collect data on broadband outages, even when broadband was wrongly placed outside of the agency's jurisdiction and the last FCC "withdrew from the arena." #TitleII #NetNeutrality
Chairwoman Rosenworcel grounds the need for a federal role in broadband policy where we all should: in the lessons of pandemic and social distancing, when we saw once and for all that internet access is essential for everyone. #TitleII #NetNeutrality
As Commissioner Gomez notes, putting some federal guardrails back in place for the essential communications platform of our era is common-sense. Access & competition are key parts of #TitleII, and preventing discrimination at the network level is key for communities of color and dissenting views.
As Commissioner Starks notes, the #TitleII opponents' approach would deregulate all telephone service, since you can use the phone to reach "information services" too; and the courts have upheld this supposed "major" classification question again, from SCOTUS on down. On the law and the policy too.
I planned to do like 3 posts today, but I guess I had more to say to pass the time during Carr's performative error-filled screed.
Thanks again to Chairwoman Rosenworcel, Commissioner Starks and Commissioner Gomez -- for listening to those people that Carr says do not matter. #TitleII #NetNeutrality
