#DarkPatterns: LinkedIn disguises gaming ad as notification I like LinkedIn, because it's a network of professionals. Accordingly, I expect content that is relevant to professionals. I'm coming to terms with the decline of quality and the invasion of clickbait. But I'm shocked to see that LinkedIn actively advertises games, disguised in 'Notifications'. Furthermore, the worst FOMO triggers are being used: Stating a big number of others justifies conforming to the new norm.
