My turn for the #WeCook challenge. Cucumber tea sandwiches, on naan bread instead of white bread - with Belgian endives, nasturtiums, and pickled red onions.

Tangy and cool, with a nice jab of vinegar. Would make again!

A sandwich on a white plate. The bread is from a sourdough loaf, sliced lengthways, so it is long and thin. It has been buttered on the outside and toasted in a frying pan, so is blackened towards the middle; it's then been sliced in half on an angle. One of the halves has the cut side facing the camera to make the filling visible; ham, kimchi, and melted American cheese can all be clearly seen. There is also vintage cheddar and slices of chorizo in there.

Been thinking about the Bluesky Cooking Challenge, and what i should make.

Im thinking of doing a weird version of the teatime watercress + cuke sandwiches my gran used to eat, only instead of (crust less!) white bread, using fried bannock bread.

And adding lemon and ~maybe~ capers.

Bluesky Cooking Challenge!

The theme for June is "Classic Sandwich with one thing changed - on weird bread".

I'm talking a Reuben with fried onions instead of Sauerkraut... On a hoagie. Or a BAT (Bacon Argula Tomato)...on a pancake.
