A giant red balloon dog completely fills the main street. A sign beside that points to local restaurants. A clock tower points to the sky, several streets down. Behind me and invisible to you are the food trucks. Also behind me and mercifully, not audible are the heavy metal cover bands playing on the stage in front of City Hall. The central figure is definitely the bright red balloon dog, which is more than two storeys high. It brings out the kid in me.

A Canada Goose sits beside a sign that says “Caution. Goose nesting. Give wide berth.” The border of the sign looks like caution tape, and there is a goose emoji and two caution emojis on the sign. Also in the photo is a parked car on asphalt, a light pole, some green ground covering, and trees in the background. If you are wondering about the goslings, I never saw them. It looks like the family ups and moves once the goslings are hatched.

This is the second year this weird Canada Goose couple has opted to nest in my local library parking lot. The library made helpful signs.
