I was in the Orcadian bookshop in Kirkwall (my local) and the staff were so pleased with the number of kids who have been in with their #WorldBookDay vouchers and also picking up other books based on the #WBD collection. So many of the titles sold out 🙌🏻 This makes a happy Miss Pinner! #UKKidLit

Our prison consultant, David Kendall, World Book Day UK and publishers send books to every prison in the country. In total, over 20,000 books are sent.

They are for children visiting parents and family members.
