I have finished the first read/edit and I only cried a little.
Now I'll move on to making the changes to the digital copy. I am on schedule for finishing this month. Good feeling.

Phase 1 of my first edit is to read, correct, and make notes as I go along as if I were reading it for the first time. This takes a slightly different mindset than the writing of the draft. I do this part on a paper print out

The Procrastination Monkey has been put in the corner! I'll be house & pet sitting for the weekend and the plan is to concentrate on getting through this phase. Helpful: a few readers have reached out to inquire!

Draft finished Sept. and put aside for a month before the first edit. One month turned into three, partly due to laptop & other hardware issues, but mostly, the procrastination monkey struck. Bad monkey
