This is very cool, but also shocking to me that cacao drinking started in Amazonia when AFAIK no contemporary Amazonians drink it?

All I have ever seen or read: domesticated cacao 1) eaten as a fresh fruit, or 2) processed for sale, same for other Theobroma species like cupuaçú. #anthrosky
