A few times, David, over the years. It’s #carshare, like Zipcar in the US. But one of the first, and very well organized. You know what really allows car-free life in Montreal? EXO, REM, Bixi, métro, STM buses, bicycle infrastructure, and relatively walkable central city neighbourhoods.

Early EV lease was silly expensive (2012/13). At the end, switched to walk, bike + #carshare & saved $250+/ month. People should have all those options + high quality transit & we should find a way to get car share back -- who's game for a co-op?

Are electric cars really an environmental success story? It is not lost on local communities that the global South is being asked to bear the environmental cost of making batteries for electric cars so that wealthy countries can decarbonize.

Good reminder that enviros need to keep ourselves honest and focused - #EV are not an environmental solution.
