A pair of handmade polymer clay Cherry Blossom cake slice earrings. The earring wire is hung from the back of the cake, making this pair dangle point-down when hanging. The back and top edge of the cake is decorated with sprinkles and Cherry Blossoms, as well as having three cherries on top, filling every space on this cake with lovely details.
A pink 12" cuffed knit beanie, embroidered with a pair of cherries (my own custom design). The cherries are shaded in a range of thread colors to provide a color gradient and making the cherries appear to shine from a distance. There is a satin stitch around the entire design, stem and all, creating a cartoon-y effect.

Decided to use the border from this 13th-15th century aegean piece for my friends' gift. The evenweave is making it look a little more square than the original, but I still really like how it's turned out.
This is just a practice run, so I'm using single-ply DMC.
